$200 A Day Is How Much Per Year?
So, you’re looking for jobs that pay $200 per day, but how much is that hourly and yearly?
Well, here’s how the math breaks down.
- Hourly: $25 per hour.
- Weekly: $1,000 a week.
- Biweekly: $2,000 every two weeks.
- Annually: $52,000 per year.
All of these calculations assume you’re working 40 hours per week, so keep this limitation in mind!
This is also before any taxes are taken out, but we’re also not counting things like bonuses or potential benefits in this list of jobs that pay $200 a day.
Alright, enough of the math, let’s get into the jobs!
The Best Jobs That Pay $200 A Day
Making money online is a foundational theme of This Online World, so I have to start off this list of jobs with a few different jobs that can be done remotely from the comfort of your own home.
If you prefer selling your skills online versus working in the field or in an office somewhere, this is absolutely the category for you!
Afterwards, I’m going to cover even more jobs that pay 200 dollars a day that you can try out that are in-person, so there’s something on this list for everyone!
1. Blogging
While I don’t think blogging will let you make $200 a day right out of the gate or even within your first year or two, I think this job has one of the highest earning potential out there.
The simple fact is that it’s possible to turn your blog into a business if you learn SEO, write great content, and monetize with strategies like ads and affiliate marketing.
The snowball potential is also crazy.
For example, I made $22,000 blogging in 2020, which was my third year of blogging.
But, these days, This Online World makes about $20,000 per month from a combination of ads, affiliate income, and the occasional sponsorship.
The above graphic is a screenshot of my recent Mediavine earnings. Mediavine is the advertisement network I use on This Online World.
Between this income and affiliate income, I’m easily making $200 a day from blogging, so this is proof that this job works and has this sort of income potential.
Again, this took over 3 years and a lot of trial and error to figure out, but I definitely think blogging is one of the most scalable jobs that can pay $200 a day or more.
Plus, much of the income is passive income since your blog can make money on autopilot if you outsource writing and some of the management tasks.
And, finally, starting your own blog isn’t expensive either.
You can get started with SiteGround, the host I used to grow This Online World for the first three years, for around $6 per month and launch your first blog today!
2. Freelance Writing
Another way to make $200 a day from home is to start freelance writing. And this is an online job I’ve used for 2+ years to make this sort of income online, so I know it works.
In fact, freelance writing is actually how I make the bulk of my income these days.
And, what I like about freelance writing is that most of your contracts pay per word, so you can easily make hundreds of dollars per article if you land the right clients.
I made a YouTube video about how to start freelance writing that I recommend watching if you’re interested in this side hustle idea.
But, for an idea of how this can make $200 a day, here are some of the different writing rates and word counts you’d need:
- $0.10 per word: 2,000 words.
- $0.15 per word: Approximately 1,335 words.
- $0.20 per word: 1,000 words.
- $0.25 per word: 800 words.
- $0.50 per word: 400 words.
Some of these rates might sound crazy, but I reached $0.10 to $0.25 after about a year of griding out the freelance writing life.
And, I know plenty of freelance personal finance writers who write for large sites and earn several hundred dollars per article.
So, the bottom line is that if you’re willing to try freelancing and are a strong writer, this is definitely another job that pays $200 a day!
3. Programmer
According to ZipRecruiter, freelance programmers earn approximately $34 per hour, which works out to $70,700 per year! So, from an hourly perspective, programming is definitely a way to make $200 a day.
However, what I like about this job idea is that there’s multiple ways to make money programming that you can explore.
For example, you can:
- Get into front-end or back-end development
- Create apps
- Sell your own software
- Design websites for clients
My good friend Grant taught himself how to code after we finished college, so you don’t necessarily need to go to an expensive four year program for this either; you can probably find a college program to teach yourself a lot of the basics.
4. Online Tutor
I think being a tutor is a great college side hustle since you can often find work teaching lower grades on courses you’ve already taken.
But, in terms of jobs that pay $200 a day, tutoring is also very feasible.
And I’m not just talking about teaching English online with popular ESL companies like VIPKid, BookNook, or Qkids either.
If you just do a quick search on different remote job websites or job boards like Indeed, you find tons of remote tutoring gigs that pay around $25 to $50 per hour!
Plus, you really just need Zoom, a microphone, and a webcam to get the job done as an online tutor.
Of course, you need to be good with students and be an expert in the subject you’re tutoring, but if you’ve done well in school in the past, this is definitely a way to make $200 from home you can consider.
5. Editor & Proofreader
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, editors earn approximately $29.50 per hour, or $61,370 per year.
I also know quite a few editors from my time freelance writing, and I know the rates a lot of them charge, or at least the ballpark of it all.
And, this is definitely an easy online job that can make $200 per day if you have enough editing clients to work with.
Editors can also branch into proofreading for clients or even freelance writing themselves if they want to have multiple working arrangements and income streams.
Some editors even specialize in SEO, commanding a higher rate because they help clients optimize content to get more Google traffic.
Like freelancing writing, getting enough clients in this job takes time, but you can definitely make $200 a day with this gig.
6. Food Delivery Jobs
In recent years, food delivery apps have grown in popularity, and there are plenty of companies that will pay you to be a food delivery courier.
Now, these jobs don’t always pay $200 per day, and the hourly rate is often around $10 to $20.
However, in certain markets, you can make upwards of $25 to $30 per hour. Plus, if you’re willing to drive a lot of hours, there’s usually enough work to let you make $200.
In any case, some popular food delivery gigs you can consider include:
- DoorDash – The leading food delivery service in the United States.
- Instacart – Deliver groceries for Instacart and make around $15 to $25 per hour.
- Uber Eats – This food delivery gig is available in dozens of cities!
- Cornershop – Another popular grocery delivery gig that’s similar to Instacart.
- Grubhub – Another popular fast food and restaurant delivery job
Jobs like Instacart are ideal if you don’t mind grocery shopping and live near lots of major grocery stores.
In contrast, you can try working for either Uber Eats or DoorDash if you just want to deliver fast food and restaurant meals to people in your city.
Again, it’s going to be tough to always make $200 a day, but you can in some markets: just check out this screenshot from one DoorDash driver’s weekly earnings!
The truth is food delivery is likely just a side hustle for most, but the $200 a day potential is there!

7. Other Delivery Gigs
There are plenty of other driving apps that pay you besides food delivery gigs, and the pay is often quite impressive.
Take driving for Amazon Flex as an example. As an Amazon Flex driver, you can earn $18 to $25 per hour delivering packages from Amazon warehouses to customers.
Signing up is free, and you schedule yourself for shifts, known as blocks, and then drive and deliver to make money.
This is just one type of delivery gig as well; there are numerous other peer-to-peer driving gigs you can use to make money.
Two popular ones are Roadie and GoShare, which both let you make money by delivering packages to people and for small businesses.
GoShare is particularly cool since if you have a pickup truck or larger vehicle, you can make more money with your deliveries!
Granted, it might be tough to get enough consistent work with Rodie and GoShare to make $200 every day, but the potential is there.
Really, your best bet is to use several gig apps to maximize your daily earning potential.
8. Help People Move
Hiring a professional moving company often costs hundreds or even thousands of dollars, which isn’t fun for any homeowner.
So, unsurprisingly, the gig economy is connecting homeowners with people who are willing to get paid to help people move.
And, one popular website in this space is Lugg.
According to Lugg, you can make up to $2,500 per week by helping people move with your truck and by completing deliveries.
I wouldn’t expect this much out of the gate, but if Lugg is popular in your market, you can earn a high hourly wage by helping people move.
In fact, according to Indeed, Lugg drivers earn around $35 per hour, so this is definitely a job that makes $200 a day if you can book a large enough gig or several smaller ones.
If you can’t find enough work on Lugg, you can also branch out and use apps like TaskRabbit to offer moving services in your city.
9. Bartending & Serving (On Weekends)
While it might surprise you, bartending and serving jobs can definitely make $200 a day if you work a busy Friday or Saturday shift.
I have tons of friends who worked as bartenders or servers during our time in college, and let me tell you: busy nights are a cash cow.
Now, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, bartenders only earn $11.39 per hour, which is quite lower than the average you need to make $200 a day.
But this is only reported income, and bartending or serving are two popular under the table jobs.
The point is that if you can find work in a busy bar or restaurant and are okay with giving up some of your weekends and Friday nights, this is definitely a job with the potential to make $200 per day.
10. Landscaping
If you’re still wondering how to make $200 a day, it might be time to get your hands a bit dirty!
That’s right: landscaping is another high-paying job you can turn to that easily makes $200 in a single day if you’re working on the right type of project.
Again, a lot of my friends work landscaping and construction jobs as summer student jobs, and a 10 hour day in the sun is usually $200 or more in your pocket.
This is extremely tough work, and if there’s a lull in jobs, you won’t be making nearly as much money.
However, for a reliable, quick cash gig, it’s tough to beat.
Plus, if you have your own equipment and experience, you can start your own landscaping side hustle with Lawn Love.
Lawn Love helps you find clients in your city, and according to its website, you can earn $1,000+ per week as a lawn care professional.
This is just one final idea on how to make $200 a day, but if you like working outdoors, it’s probably the best one for you!
